The Children's Water Festival

The festival is a one-day event for 2,000 students from the 4th grade level that offers a series of continuous 25-minute presentations on groundwater, surface water, conservation, land use, and other water related topics, various games, experiments, exhibits, and entertainment.

The day is filled with fun and memorable activities designed to contain factual and unbiased information to encourage the adoption of sound environmental values and the desire to assume positive life-long stewardship roles.

The activities challenge the children's minds through the use of hands-on activities, as well as increase their ability to apply the knowledge gained at the festival to their everyday lives.

How do I get involved with the Festival?

• Volunteer to assist the planning committee: A group of 17 representatives from local businesses, government, academia and citizen organizations
• Volunteer the day of the festival: Participate in areas such as classroom assistants, lunch area guides, crafts tent, and exhibit hall monitors
• Volunteer as an Exhibitor: Your business can set up an exhibit to demonstrate to the children services offered in groundwater and environmental protection
• Financial Contributions: Your generosity allows the children to attend the festival free of charge
• In-Kind Contributions: You can lend support by donating goods or services such as paper supplies, art supplies, boxes, bags/totes, and audio visual equipment.
