The City of Dayton administers an approved Industrial Pretreatment Program via authority delegated from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to the City of Dayton. The City of Dayton recognizes that businesses that discharge non-domestic wastewater to the sewer system may face a complex and often confusing array of regulations. Our staff is dedicated to helping businesses in our service area understand and comply with all appropriate regulations in order to protect the environment and safeguard our community's investment in the wastewater infrastructure. Potentially, the discharge to the sanitary sewer from your business could be governed by federal, state, and local regulations.
