Water Main Information
- Water Distribution maintains 763 miles of water mains carrying an average of 75 million gallons per day (MGD).
- Supplying water to a 65 square mile area of Montgomery County including Dayton, Kettering, Vandalia, Riverside, Trotwood, Brookville, the Dayton International Airport, and customers in Greene County.
- The Division maintains over 4800 fire hydrants throughout the city.
- Water Distribution repairs water main breaks and strives to do so in a manner that minimizes both service interruptions and loss of water.

Ongoing and Future Construction Information
- Water Distribution crews work daily in the streets of Dayton. Please excuse any inconvenience this may cause. This work is important for the Division to be able to make repairs or perform maintenance on the water system.
